Rooftop's 6th, 7th , and 8th grades work with S.F.Arts Ed to produce the ROOFTOP SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATER REVUE on Dec. 23, 2014 day and evening performances!
Students experimented with performing dance and song, took risks, gained self composure, expression in a whole different way, self discipline,
collaboration while working together in unison, improv and quick thinking, and self confidence. This training and experience is instrumental in
all academic subjects, and in life! Thank you S.F. Arts Ed for your commitment to art education!

APPRECIATIONS!
All students have been working with SFArtsED - Artists-in-Residents :
DAVID BROWN - Vocal Direction / ERIN GENTRY: Choreography & Staging Direction for several weeks in preparation for the show. Both musical teaching artists were very dedicated and very talented in staging, dance and musical training. Students played warm up games that taught thinking on your feet, concentration, the importance of collaboration, expression, and whole group skills. "I gained good mental and physical workout and learned performance tips. It taught us how to remember directions and useful life skills." Gabe "It was fun." Lucy "It's good for students to get opportunities to perform. It was fun." Sydney "It was fun and it was a good product." Eli "It was a good experience, it's fun, and you're giving back to the community." Chloe " We learned good life skills and we grew as a class together." Ryann "We all joined together to do something great and it was cool." Georgia "We got to hear these wonderful songs!" Luc |
